Magnolias

Caught myself doing it again today:

  • Running through Target like I'm being timed.

  • Eating lunch while answering emails.

  • Scrolling mindlessly through Substack notes instead of using that time to savor — really relishONE delicious piece of prose.

Change doesn't happen overnight … it's a choice we make every hour, every day.

So, as I was driving back from a post office run, I parked my car on a neighborhood street and just watched a magnolia tree in all its splendor. Tomorrow it might rain and those petals will fall. But right now, they’re perfect.
