About

I've always been a writer. Ever since I can remember...my first love, my passion, my profession always revolved around words. Words have come easy to me, stringing them together to convey information, empower action, evoke emotion.

When handed a paintbrush, I could put together a decent copy of some famous artist, but never original work. Fluid art changed that. It has allowed me to let go, to experiment, to have fun. I can give my mind a rest and just listen to my heart. I have found a new rhythm, a novel insight into life and introduced a pause into the chaos of everyday demands.

Fluid Art has freed me. And made me truly speechless...to know that the original paintings I am creating in the form of wall/wearable/functional art are lightning up people’s hearts with joy...there’s no greater satisfaction than that.

I am, for the first time in my life, at a loss of words. And it feels alright.

I love working with resin, acrylics and alcohol inks and paint on various different substrates including wood, rocks, canvas, Yupo paper and ceramic. The interaction between paints and media varies depending on their viscosity, the nature of the substrate and environmental factors.

Most of my art work employs several different techniques of pouring, swiping, blowing, torching and embellishing. I painstakingly add dots to emphasize the movement of the paint and add structure and dimension to my abstract art. Sometimes, I add ethnic Indian motifs to accentuate and celebrate my South Asian heritage. When finished, each piece is truly one-of-a-kind in its irreplicable beauty.

My work has recently been displayed at the Los Altos Library, Red Berry Coffee Bar in downtown Los Altos, Lexus Showroom in San Jose, Back in Balance Chiropractor, Urfa Bistro in Los Altos, Red Rock Coffee in Mountain View, Original Pancake House in Los Altos and many homes in the Bay Area, across the United States and in the United Kingdom.

I do offer commissions. You can request a color palette but given the nature of the medium, please know that the paint will do what it does best: flow freely and uninhibitedly. I take 50% non-refundable deposits and offer free domestic shipping with the following caveats:

Anything over 12"x12" incurs a $25 shipping charge.
Anything over 36"x36" incurs a $75 shipping charge.
