Custom printed journal cover

Custom printed journal cover

I am so very excited about this mini journal that I just customized the cover of! It was a super fun, very organic project using my Gelli Arts 5x7 Gel Plate and some earthy colors from Golden Paints. I used the same multi-layer technique as in this video for the front of the journal but for the back I also used a stamp on the initial background pull, for some interesting dimension. Here's what the cover images initially looked like when I pulled them off the plate:

While beautiful in their muted tones, they weren't spectacular. I set the journal aside for a day and when I revisited it, I knew exactly what I wanted to do to take it to the next level.

Here's a showcase video, so you can see the final images and I will list all the supplies I used in creating this mixed-media journal cover below. There are some beautiful sand and glass beads details in this journal cover.

I hope you liked what I did here. I'll be making and sharing more of these in the near future and would appreciate your thoughts, ideas and feedback.
