“Amazing Mom” with Colorado Craft Company

I’m always excited when it’s new release time at the Colorado Craft Company, especially so, when the release involves the Anita Jeram set of stamps!

The exceptionally cute stamps are a painter’s dream and I have taken to giving them clothes (as with a previous release). I love giving them personalities and, today, I share with you how I color these critters with distress ink reinkers. Scroll down to watch the video and partake in the blog hop!

Hi there, I am Mansi, a self-taught artist based in Silicon Valley. I was a full-time communications professional for two decades, with a desk job and a six-figure salary until I decided to become a mom. Motherhood, as many will attest, can be extremely exhausting, especially in those first years. Art became my quiet place. It restored my sense of self. It gave me renewed energy. This whole Colorado Craft Company release is so uplifting, and what do we need more than anything right now…but the Love Art set really captures the feeling of fellowship and community we share as artists and papercrafters, so if I have to choose, this one is my fave. (I’ll be getting all of them, though) Love your coloring technique – it reminds me of children’s book illustration!

    Your card is GORGEOUS! I love the rainbow part that you added, too.

    This is a tough choice. I think the Love Art set is my favorite. I love the quotes around the edge. I also like “Amazing Mom” a lot. I also love the little tiny “The Artist” stamp.

  58. You can tell you loved working with this stamp set. The free artistry to add clothes and emotions you wanted to add. So sweet. This release directs memories to so many different parts of life. My fav is the kitty in the bed stamp, but this one is extra special with your personal touches.

  85. I’ll start with my question. What is a dotting brush? It looks like a fine micron pen, but suspect it is a really special brush. I don’t think you need to worry about doing critters! I love the dresses, and the way you made this your creation. The distress inks in liquid form, I’m going to have to explore. So much detail, I love the bow on the little girl mouses tail. It just adds to the sweet family.
